Igne achieves PAS 2080 certification from BSI
Igne has achieved PAS 2080:2023 Carbon Management in the Built Environment certification from BSI, demonstrating our commitment to reducing carbon, improving sustainability, and supporting clients with responsible project delivery.
Igne is proud to announce that we have been awarded PAS 2080:2023 Carbon Management in the Built Environment certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI). This achievement marks a significant milestone in our sustainability journey and reflects our commitment to responsible business practices.
PAS 2080:2023 is the world’s first standard developed specifically to address carbon emissions and climate change across the built environment.
Achieving this certification confirms Igne’s ability to effectively manage carbon across every stage of our projects - from planning and design through to delivery and operation, while minimising environmental impact.
Following a rigorous two-day independent audit with zero non-conformances, this certification provides assurance to our clients, partners, and stakeholders that Igne’s systems and processes meet the highest standards of carbon management.
Rob Hunter, CEO, Igne, said:
“This certification is a landmark moment for Igne. It validates the hard work and commitment of our teams across the business, and it strengthens our ability to support clients as they look to reduce carbon and deliver sustainable outcomes. Achieving PAS 2080 shows that Igne is not just meeting industry expectations – we are setting the standard for responsible practice in the built environment.”
Paul Breslin BSc DipESG CMIOSH PCQI GradISEP, ESG & Regulatory Risk Director, Igne, said:
“We are immensely proud to have achieved PAS 2080:2023 with zero non-conformances. It demonstrates that Igne has the systems, knowledge, and culture in place to manage carbon effectively at every stage of a project. Reducing carbon is central to both our operations and our clients’ priorities, and this certification reinforces our ability to deliver measurable progress towards Net Zero.”
Reducing carbon is not only central to Igne’s operations, but also a priority for our clients. With PAS 2080 certification, we are in a stronger position than ever to help them meet their sustainability goals by delivering projects that are efficient, responsible, and resilient.
This achievement strengthens Igne’s wider ESG progress and underlines our role as a trusted partner in creating a lower-carbon, more sustainable future.
