Environmental Technician
SI England, part of the Igne Group of companies, are seeking to recruit an Environmental Monitoring Technician to join their team in County Durham. This is mainly a site-based role working across the UK and in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities:
- Groundwater and gas level monitoring.
- Gas and groundwater sampling using various methods depending on the requirements.
- Surface water sampling.
- Set up, install, and download groundwater data loggers.
- In-situ permeability (rising and falling) testing.
- Inclinometer monitoring.
- Surveying of exploratory hole positions.
- Timely submission of all site information.
- Full acquaintance with site-based health and safety requirements, safe working practices and risk assessments associated with the role.
The following are requirements for this position:
- Ideally candidates will have an understanding of environmental monitoring, sampling and in-situ testing techniques, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and reporting abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Full driving licence (travel is required)
