HR Advisor
Igne are looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join the team in Warrington or Durham. This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time hours considered for the right candidate. As HR Advisor, you will partner closely with managers across the business, providing support and building strong relationships across our nationwide network of offices and sites. UK travel will form part of the role.
This is a hands‑on, generalist role where you’ll act as a trusted sounding board for managers, helping them navigate day‑to‑day people matters with confidence. You’ll know when to coach, when to challenge, and when to step in, always balancing pragmatism with fairness and good judgement.
You’ll be joining a small, close‑knit HR team where collaboration, trust and shared ownership really matter. We work closely together, value each other’s input and take pride in the positive impact we have across the business.
If you enjoy variety, responsibility and working in a growing organisation where your voice is genuinely heard, we’d love to meet you.
As an HR Advisor at Igne, you’ll:
- Partner with managers to support sound, commercially minded people decisions, coaching where appropriate and confidently pushing back or escalating when needed
- Provide end‑to‑end support on employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, capability and absence management
- Help managers understand and apply HR policies, procedures and employment legislation so they can lead their teams with confidence
- Manage and maintain our HR systems, using data and key metrics to identify trends and improve processes
- Support recruitment activity to help secure the right talent
- Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives that support Igne’s growth and people strategy
We’re looking for someone who is practical, approachable and confident in their judgement, with:
- Experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar generalist HR role, including hands‑on ER casework
- A solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Strong communication skills, including clear and professional letter writing
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge constructively
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, growing environment
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally when required
- CIPD qualification (or working towards)
In return, we offer a supportive and wellbeing‑focused benefits package, designed to help you feel your best at work and beyond:
- Salary of £30,000 – £35,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working, supporting flexibility and work‑life balance
- 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays, to rest and recharge
- Ongoing training and development to support your personal and professional growth
- A range of flexible benefits, allowing you to choose what matters most to you
- Salary sacrifice schemes including car leasing, cycle‑to‑work, home and tech
- Enhanced maternity and paternity policies, supporting you and your family when it matters most
- A medical cashback plan to support everyday health and wellbeing costs
- Death in service cover for added peace of mind
