UXO/EOD Engineer

Igne are seeking a UXO/EOD Engineer to join the team based in Gillingham, Kent.  The Engineer will conduct unexploded ordnance magnetometry surveys, for a variety of projects, including construction, infrastructure, and land development. This is a full-time role, with travel across the UK as required.  Ideally you will be based in the South of England.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will support the safe and effective delivery of UXO risk mitigation works on a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects.
• Application of UXO mitigation and support works
• Application of UXO risk reduction techniques (where qualified)
• Preparation of RAMS, task briefings and site documentation
• Liaison with clients, contractors and project teams
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members
   

Person Specification:

• Recognised EOD / Search qualification (military or civilian equivalent)
• Experience on UK UXO projects 
• Strong Understanding of HSE guidance and industry best practise
• CSCS card (or ability to obtain one)
• Full UK Driving License
• Strong communication and safety-first mindset
