Head of IT

Igne is looking for a Head of IT to join our team in Ross-on-Wye. 

This is a full-time position with responsibility for leading our technology strategy, infrastructure  and service delivery across multiple UK sites.. If you have a strong background in IT leadership and are ready to shape the future of technology at Igne, this could be the role for you.

We are Igne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies, renowned within our respective fields, with over 350 years of combined experience. A one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services. Igne’s six service categories are: ground investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, specialist drilling, geothermal and geo-environmental.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with Igne’s business objectives.
• Lead and mentor the IT team, including service desk, infrastructure, and technical architecture functions.
• Oversee the management and security of cloud-based infrastructure (primarily Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune).
• Ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.

Person Specification

• Proven leadership in IT management, ideally in a multi-site or field-based organisation.
• Strong technical background in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and cloud-first environments.
• Experience with ITIL practices, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards.

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master’s degree in IT Management, Business Administration (MBA), or Cybersecurity

• Salary on offer is circa £75,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus annual bonus
