National Sales Person

As the UK Sales Person for Igne Water Wells, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our Water Wells, Geothermal and Specialist Drilling Business Unit.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the sales efforts within the UK market, leveraging your skills to establish our brand as a trusted provider of drilling services. With your strong sales acumen and strategic thinking, you will execute the sales strategy set out by the Director of Water Wells, ensuring that our services are effectively positioned and promoted to meet the needs of our target clients.

You will be at the forefront of business unit sales, actively identifying and pursuing new opportunities. You will launch a robust pipeline of potential clients by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. Through your proactive approach, you will acquire new business and nurture existing client relationships.

You will receive technical support and training from the senior management team. The current sales strategy will dictate target clients but will likely include; geothermal clients, food manufacturers, breweries and distilleries, agricultural, other commercial high water users and domestic clients.

A crucial aspect of your role will be monitoring and analysing sales performance against targets. Through meticulous tracking of sales data, you will gain insights into market trends and customer preferences, enabling you to make informed decisions and adjustments to your sales approach.  preparing regular sales reports and presenting them to senior management will provide visibility into your progress and achievements.

Collaboration will be key as you work closely with senior management and operational teams, including technical experts and marketing professionals, to ensure seamless delivery of our services to clients. Your feedback and insights from the clients and market will serve as a valuable resource for expanding the sales strategy, enabling us to continuously enhance and refine our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

As the UK Sales Person, you will also be responsible for staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, you will stay one step ahead, identifying new opportunities and adapting your sales technique to maintain our competitive edge.

In summary, you will be the driving force behind our sales growth in the UK. Your sales acumen and strong relationship-building skills will enable us to expand our customer base, increase revenue, and solidify our position as a leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Achieving Sales Targets: You are responsible for meeting and surpassing sales targets set for the UK market. You will be monitored on sales performance, and take necessary actions to ensure you achieve or exceed the assigned sales targets set by the Director of Water Wells
  • Building and Maintaining Client Relationships: You are responsible for building and nurturing strong client relationships. You will endeavour to understand all client needs, provide effective solutions, and act as a trusted advisor. By cultivating long-term partnerships, you will ensures client satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals 
  • Prospecting and Business Development: You are responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the market. You will actively prospect for new clients, expand the customer base, and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential leads to drive sales growth 
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: You are accountable for generating accurate and timely sales reports, including performance metrics, revenue forecasts, and market insights. These reports enable senior management to make informed decisions, assess the effectiveness of sales strategies, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attend customer sites, meetings and trade shows, including accompanying Senior Management on-site visits as required.

Knowledge:


Knowledge of the private water supply market = Desirable
Understanding of Commercial Risks = Essential
Understanding of selling, marketing and business development principles = Essential

Skills:


Excellent communication and networking skills, both written and verbal = Essential
Ability and desire to sell = Essential
 

Experience:


Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a regional or national role = Essential
Ability to demonstrate sales growth in a previous role = Essential
 

Qualifications:


Full UK driving licence = Essential
